Your first visit to our office will consist of an exam, also known as a ‘limited exam’ to assess your child’s specific needs. Some reasons why we may not be able to fix your child’s tooth the same day or on their first visit to our office could include the following:
- First, we need to thoroughly evaluate your child to determine the best course of treatment. This may involve taking X-rays or performing an examination to ensure we understand the issue fully.
- Some dental issues, especially in children, can be complex. If your child needs a more extensive procedure, like sedation, we have to schedule your child appropriately for their safety. Sedations are not done in office at Sunny Day Pediatric Dentistry
- .Your child’s comfort and safety is our top priority. We want to make sure that any treatment is done in a low stress manner. Sometimes, it’s better to schedule the procedure for a time when we can give it our full attention.
- Depending on our schedule, we may not have enough time to complete the procedure during your visit, and we want to avoid rushing through any treatment.
